GCS Weekly Warm-up (V040316)

Hi my singing friends!

If it seems like we’re a bigger group than usual, we are! We usually have about 70 members for the second session. This time around, we have 83! Woot Woot!! I love the energy that I’m feeling at our rehearsals.

For those of you who are new to the group, you might be wondering how this is all going to come together. As they say in ‘Shakespeare in Love’:

Philip Henslowe: Mr. Fennyman, allow me to explain about the theatre business. The natural condition is one of insurmountable obstacles on the road to imminent disaster.
Hugh Fennyman: So what do we do?
Philip Henslowe: Nothing. Strangely enough, it all turns out well.
Hugh Fennyman: How?
Philip Henslowe: I don’t know. It’s a mystery.

Or as we sang in ‘Another Opnin’ Another Show’:
Four weeks, you rehearse and rehearse,
Three weeks and it couldn’t be worse,
One week, will it ever be right?
Then out o’ the hat, it’s that big first night!

All I’m saying is, don’t worry – it always works out!
